Civil rights movement was a world wide political movement for equality before the law. It was not very successful in alot of attempts. But most of it worked out. It was between the years 1955-1968 in the process of the movement. There were many people fighting like Malcolm x or Martin Luther King. They're are big and important people to the movement and well know heroes of American history.
